Welcome to the Frederick Douglass Democratic Club, a multi-cultural Democratic Party club for Democrats in the 69th Assembly District.
The founding members of the Frederick Douglass Democratic Club share a deep-rooted belief in social justice and the Democratic Party.
Frederick Douglass Democratic Club engages members (women and men) in public policy and serves as a forum for Democratic leaders.
Club membership benefits include outstanding speaker programs with legislators, authors, and other public figures—as well the opportunity to study key issues, advance public policy, and network with other Democrats.
Membership in the club gives you the right to vote in club elections (and on candidate endorsements).
Support for the Frederick Douglass Democratic Club allows the club to provide you with an opportunity to learn about candidates and issues and influence the Democratic Party agenda at a grass roots level.
Only registered members of the Democratic Party (with annual household incomes of less than $50,000) living within the confines of the 69th Assembly District can be a full voting member of the Frederick Douglass Democratic Club.
NOTE: Any person who lives in public housing or low income housing managed by a non-profit organization or pays their rent with section 8 housing vouchers or any other government program or receives food stamps/WIC within the confines of the 69th Assembly District are entitled to the benefit of paying an annual membership fee of $10 (all others will pay an annual membership fee of $100).
A number of Honorary Memberships (non-voting) will be awarded to persons with household incomes of more than $75,000, elected officials and Democratic Party members who do not reside within the 69th Assembly District.
